Current Opportunity - Customer Engagement Specialist

Data Farms is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Customer Engagement Specialist to support our sales and client management activities. In this role, you’ll assist with managing customer relationships, market research, preparing sales materials, and coordinating service delivery for our crop monitoring technology and data analytics solutions​. The ideal candidate is passionate about technology in agriculture, has excellent communication skills, and can manage multiple tasks with ease.

Responsibilities

  • Data-Driven Tracking and Reporting: Manage accounts and track data in HubSpot. Record daily progress in terms of new contacts, added names, scheduled demos, and successful lead conversions. Regularly report on metrics to help refine and improve outreach strategies.
  • Prospecting and Outreach: Conduct targeted prospecting to expand the potential client list in current and new markets.
  • Lead Engagement and Conversion: Advance prospects from initial contact to scheduled phone or online demos. Support the progression of these prospects to in-person demos and consultations as appropriate.
  • Social Media Advertising Management: Manage a budget to create and optimize social media ads targeting both existing and new markets, with the goal of expanding Data Farms’ customer base and generating qualified leads.
  • Timely Response to Inquiries: Respond to all incoming messages and inquiries within an hour during business hours and within 24 hours outside of regular business hours.
  • Customer Onboarding: Assist customers with system setup and training & provide top-notch customer service.

Who are we looking for?

  • Experience in Technology Sales: Proven track record in tech sales, ideally within B2B SaaS, IoT, or data analytics platforms, with an understanding of sales cycles and customer engagement strategies.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a customer-focused approach to building and maintaining relationships.
  • Agricultural Industry Knowledge (Bonus): Familiarity with the agriculture industry or experience selling to agricultural clients is a strong asset but not required.
  • Organizational and Time Management Skills: Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet response deadlines consistently.
  • Technical Aptitude: Comfortable using CRM systems, sales enablement tools, and standard office software (Google Suite). Willingness to quickly learn and adapt to new technology platforms.
  • Self-Motivated and Results-Driven: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a goal-oriented mindset that drives consistent progress toward sales targets.
